Hillhurst is thriving and possibilities abound, but we are also at capacity – in terms of space, staff, and financial resources. This is a year of transition for Hillhurst. We need to be nimble and mindful in all that we do, and we need to find new ways to fund this growing organization. Going forward, we are dedicated to developing a new stewardship plan, and executing on that plan in order to address our financial shortfall. We will host a follow-up session for interested congregants in coming weeks. If you have experience in fundraising or fund development, or simply have a passion for this place and a desire to help out, please join our new stewardship team. 2015 Q1 Update [pdf]

This budget has been carefully and thoughtfully prepared by the board and executive staff at Hillhurst. It is about meeting today's needs while thinking about the kind of organization and congregation we can be, and the impact we can make 5 years from now. It is a privilege to serve this community as chair of the Hillhurst United Church Board. I continue to be humbled and impressed with the work they do.
Thank you for your contributions to a successful 2015. Your investment in our church and community is what makes living our values of Radical Hospitality, Social Justice and Spirituality possible. I look forward to working with you in 2016 as we "Plan for Possibility".
Terry Rock, Board Chair
